The 42nd edition of the annual CHIN International Picnic is set to take place this weekend, June 28th – 29th and Canada Day, Tuesday July 1st, at the Exhibition Place grounds.
There’s plenty of free entertainment and activities lined up, and of course, the ever popular Miss CHIN International Bikini Pagent on Saturday. Take in the displays and bargains to be had, at the Shopping Bazaar in the Better Living Building, where Bell will also be setting up long distance telephone booths for you to make free calls around the world.

Celebrate Canada’s 141st birthday on Tuesday, July 1st at any number of events taking place throughout Toronto.
Some of the larger parties will be taking place at Queens Park, Downsview Park, Harbourfront Centre, and The Beaches. Many communities also have Canada Day activities planned at local parks.
Close off the evening with a bang by taking in the fireworks at Ontario Place, Ashbridge’s Bay, or Mel Lastman Square.

Friday, July 25th is Kidsummer Day at the Toronto Zoo. Children, 12 and under, receive free admission if accompanied by an adult (2 children max per paid adult admission).

World Routes 2008 is a series of festivals exploring contemporary culture, taking place this summer at Harbourfront Centre. A free concert series will be held at the Sirius Stage, featuring artists from a variety of genres.
Artists confirmed so far include: Isax InJah, Lee “Scratch” Perry, Seckou Keita SKQ, Seun Kuti and Egypt 80, and Orchestra Baobab.
