Free Screening of “Heroes of the East” at Innis Town Hall

Fans of classic Hong Kong kung fu cinema will want to catch a free screening of 1978′s Heros of the East (Shaolin Challenges Ninja) this Saturday afternoon, July 19th – 2:30PM, at UofT’s Innis Town Hall. The screening is free, however reservations are required.

Star of the film, Gordon Liu, who also appeared in Kill Bill 1&2 will be in attendance and conducting a Q&A after the screening.

Free Outdoor Movie Screening at Consulate General of Italy

A Very Beautiful Wife (Una Moglie Bellissima), directed by Leonardo Pieraccioni, is being shown this Friday, July 18th in the gardens of the Consulate General of Italy (136 Beverley St.), for Cinema Under the Stars, presented by L’Altra Italia Association and Istituto Italiano di Cultura. Gates open at 8pm with film beginning at 9.

Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition 2008

The 47th edition of the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition at Nathan Phillips Square, is set to open today, Friday July 11th, and continue through the weekend. Over 500 artists will be featured at what is being billed as the largest outdoor art exhibition in Canada.

Hours are:

Friday 10AM – 8PM
Saturday 10AM – 7PM
Sunday 10AM – 6PM

Free Film Screenings at Harbourfront Centre
