Toronto International Film Festival @ Yonge-Dundas Square

The 2008 Toronto International Film Festival kicks off today and throughout the duration of the festival, a number of free events will be taking place at Yonge-Dundas Square, including concerts and “Movies on Movies” – a series of free outdoor screenings dedicated to the art of cinema.

The festival will conclude with the first-ever Public Festival Wrap Party at the square on Saturday, September 13th.

Free Coffee at Starbucks for Teachers

As part of their “Great Start for Great Teachers” promotion, Starbucks locations in Ontario and Western Canada are offering teachers (grades K-12), a free tall-sized coffee on Mondays, for the month of September.
