Free Japanese Film Screenings at Bloor Cinema

The Japan Foundation of Toronto will be presenting free screenings of four award-winning films later this month at the Bloor Cinema:

  • Wed Nov 26, 7pm – The Book of the Dead
  • Fri Nov 28, 7pm – Shangri-La
  • Sat Nov 29, 4:30pm – Breathe In, Breathe Out
  • Sat Nov 29, 7pm – Half a Confession

Admission is free, No ticket or reservation is required. Please arrive early to ensure seating.

European Film Festival 2008

Eh! U Meet The Europeans, the 4th annual European Film Festival, runs from November 16th-30th with screenings at the Isabel Bader, Innis Town Hall, and Royal Cinema theatres.

The festival is staged by the embassies, consulates and cultural institutes of Europe in Toronto, and will provide the public with “the opportunity to see more than 30 films presenting the diversity and creativity of today’s European culture on recent feature films!

Admission is free, and on a first-come, first-served basis.

Free Movie Passes to Four Christmases from The Bay

Drop by The Bay at their Queen St (Christmas Street-5th Floor) or Bloor St (Christmas Street – 4th Floor) locations this Sunday November 16th at 10:00AM and pick up free movie passes, while quantities last, to the premiere screening of Four Christmases at the AMC Yonge & Dundas 24.

Winter Magic Festival – Illuminite

Come and celebrate the beginning of the holiday season at Yonge-Dundas Square, with Illuminite, part of Downtown Yonge’s Winter Magic Festival, on Saturday, November 15th.

A day of entertainment will begin at noon and conclude at 7pm with a lighting ceremony and fire & pyrotechnics show by Circus Orange.
