New Year’s Levee

Everyone is invited to come to Toronto City Hall to welcome the new year at the annual Mayor’s New Year’s Levee on Thursday, January 1, 2009 from 11am to 12:30pm.

New Year’s Bash 2009 @ Nathan Phillips Square

Ring in the new year by celebrating at Citytv’s annual New Year’s Bash at Nathan Phillips Square. The preshow starts at 9pm with the main show getting underway at 10:30pm.

Performers include Suzie McNeil, Kreesha Turner, Shiloh, Danny Fernandes, Dru, Tristan Avakian and the cast of The Jersey Boys.

Free Child Admission @ ROM With Each Paid Admission

This weekend, December 20-21, 2008 and on January 1st, 2009, one child gets in to the Royal Ontario Museum for free with each paying adult, senior, or student.

Free Transit Service on New Year’s Eve

TTC – Free on New Year’s Day, Thursday January 1, 2009 – 12.01am – 4am

York Region – Free from 7pm on New Year’s Eve on all YRT/Viva, TTC and Brampton Transit routes operating north of Steeles Avenue in York Region. Extended service until approx. 3am on select routes.

Mississauga Transit – Free from 7pm New Year’s Eve to 4am New Year’s Day.

Brampton Transit – Free from 7:30pm New Year’s Eve. Extended service on select routes.

Durham Region – Free from 8pm on New Year’s Eve until 2am New Year’s Day.

Go Transit – Free from 7pm New Year’s Eve until end of service.
