Heritage Toronto Walks

Heritage Toronto hosts free walking tours which “tell the stories behind the people, landscapes and historic buildings that bring Toronto’s neighbourhoods to life.”

Most walks are scheduled on weekends and usually last from 90 mins – 2 hours. The 2009 season is already underway – visit heritagetoronto.org for schedule and further details.

Downtown Yonge Trivia Challenge

A trivia challenge at Yonge-Dundas Square is being held on Wednesday May 27, 2009 from 11am to 1pm to promote the Discovery Team, a group of roaming ambassadors providing information and free walking tours of the Downtown Yonge area.

It’s free to participate and by correctly answering Toronto-themed questions, you can win prizes from area retailers, restaurants and theatres.

Free Compact Fluorescent Lightbulb

Participate in the Spring Turn On program, part of the Count Me In Toronto challenge, and be one of the first 350 Toronto residents to visit a participating Canadian Tire or Home Depot store on May 23 & 24, and May 30 & 31 (10am-3pm), to receive a free specialty CFL bulb.

Free Hamburger at Harvey’s

Sunday May 24, 2009 is Free Original Hamburger Day at participating Harvey’s locations (from 10:30am-3pm).
