Lakeport Brewing will be at Yonge-Dundas Square tomorrow, Wednesday July 29, hosting the Sure Shot Give-Away – where they will be handing out $10 to each of the first 300 people who can sink a basket in their can’t-miss net!
Enjoy a free barbecue and beer sampling at the event, running 11am-2pm. Particpiants must be at least 19 years of age – ID required.
The Italian Cultural Institute and the Consulate General of Italy present Opera in the Garden ’09, featuring free screenings of three of Giuseppe Verdi’s most beloved operas:
Friday July 31 – Rigoletto
Friday August 14 – Aida
Friday August 28 – Otello
The screenings are subtitled, and will take place in the gardens of the Italian Consulate. Gates open at 7pm with films beginning at sunset (approx 9pm).

The 37th annual Festival of India, takes place this weekend, July 18 & 19, at this year’s new location near Yonge & Queens Quay.
The event kicks off with a parade down Yonge street, beginning at Bloor, starting 11am Saturday, and will feature two days of Indian arts & culture, and the ever popular free vegetarian feast.
