The Italian Cultural Institute and the Consulate General of Italy present Opera in the Garden ’09, featuring free screenings of three of Giuseppe Verdi’s most beloved operas:
Friday July 31 – Rigoletto
Friday August 14 – Aida
Friday August 28 – Otello
The screenings are subtitled, and will take place in the gardens of the Italian Consulate. Gates open at 7pm with films beginning at sunset (approx 9pm).
“Guests are invited to bring friends, family, blankets, and a picnic and are encouraged to dress in their finest operatic picnic attire for an evening that promises to be full of culture and entertainment. In case of rain or strong winds the screening is postponed to the next day.”
