Toronto Buskerfest

The 10th annual BuskerFest is now underway and runs until Sunday August 30 in the St. Lawrence Market Neighbourhood.

The event is the largest of its kind in North America – featuring over a hundred performers, including comedy acts, music, magicians, circus acts and more. Admission by donation in support of Epilepsy Toronto.

Outdoor Movie Night at Mel Lastman Square

Ward 23 City Councillor John Filion hosts an outdoor family movie night at Mel Lastman Square, Friday August 28. A free screening of Madagascar 2 will take place at the amphitheatre beginning at 8pm.

Live Green Toronto Festival

The Live Green Toronto Festival takes place Sunday August 30, 11am-8pm, along Yonge St, from Dundas to Queen.

The event will feature vendors of “green” products and services, live music, local foods, childrens activities and more.

Performers at Yonge-Dundas Square will include Jen Gould, Chris Mckool, Dala, Samba Squad, The Johnstones, Grand Analog, Crash Parallel, Carly Rae Jepsen, Danny Fernandes, and the Philosopher Kings.

Gaming on the Big Screen at Fox Theatre

The Fox Theatre can now be rented for your own private video game sessions. Drop by Saturday August 29 to try it out as they host an afternoon of free video gaming on the big screen. Arrive at 11:30 to sign-up for a slot.
