Artwalk

Artwalk is an annual community arts festival encompassing the St. Clair Avenue West area, from approximately Bathurst to Oakwood/Davenport Road to Cedarvale Ravine.

This year’s event takes place on the weekend of September 26 & 27 and will feature studio tours, an outdoor art market, live music, children’s activities, and more. View the festival area map & mini-guide here.

Word On The Street

The 20th annual Word on the Street festival takes place at Queen’s Park, Sunday September 27, 2009 (11am-6pm).

The event is a celebration of literacy and of the written word, featuring author readings, presentations, workshops and a diverse marketplace of books and magazines.

Ontario Science Centre 40th Anniversary

Enjoy free admission and a day of fun activities for the family as the Ontario Science Centre celebrates its 40th birthday this Saturday September 26, 2009. Opening ceremonies begin at 11am.

Win prizes by competing in an interactive game show and see a free screening of the 1971 film, North of Superior (the first Canadian film to be created with IMAX technology).

RDOG Day at Trinity Bellwoods Park

Join the Canadian Kennel Club this Saturday September 26, 2009 (10am-3pm) at Trinity Bellwoods Park (Queen Street West main gates) for Responsible Dog Ownership Day – featuring free activities for dog enthusiasts including a pet first aid seminar, indigenous breeds presentation, Canine Good Neighbour testing (proof of vaccination certificate required), and the second annual RDOG Walk.

The first 150 participants will receive a free goodie bag.
