Yoga For Peace

As part of Yoga For Peace, “a national movement encouraging you to find peace through spirit, mind and body”, YMCA locations accross the GTA will host a free yoga class Tuesday November 24, 2009 12pm-1pm (mats are limited).

Kidzfest at Yonge-Dundas Square

On November 28 & 29 (11am-5pm), the Downtown Yonge BIA presents Kidzfest – a fun-filled weekend at Yonge-Dundas Square with face-painting, crafts, performances, and more including guest appearances from cartoon celebrities Max & Ruby, Dora & Diego and Spongebob Squarepants on his 10th anniversary tour.

Swedish Christmas Festival

The SWEA 28th Annual Swedish Christmas Festival takes place Saturday & Sunday, November 21-22, 2009 at Harbourfront Centre.

Enjoy festive entertainment including the Lucia pageant, folk dancing, singing, and more.

Children can take part in a workshop to make Swedish crafts and bake gingerbread cookies. There will also be arts, crafts and jewellery for sale, along with a variety of Swedish delicacies.

Free Kids’ Admission to Toronto’s Historic Sites

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, the City of Toronto’s historic sites will be offering free admission to children, 12 years and under, on Saturday November 21, 2009.
