CTV Toy Mountain Campaign Launch

CTV’s 14th annual Toy Mountain toy drive kicks off Wednesday November 18, 2009 at the SilverCity Fairview Mall Cinemas. Meet CTV News personalities and be a part of the live on-location news broadcast.

The first 250 guests to donate a toy will receive free admission to a holiday movie screening along with free popcorn and drink. Line-up begins at 5pm; show begins at 7pm.

Bloor-Yorkville Holiday Magic

Join guests Zaib Shaikh and Brando Firla from the CBC television show, Little Mosque on the Prairie for the official lighting ceremony Saturday November 21, 2009 at the Village of Yorkville Park (Cumberland & Bellair) between 5pm-6pm, when the Bloor-Yorkville area will be transformed into a magical holiday wonderland.

The event will feature free refreshments and a circus performance by A2D2. While you’re there, fill out a ballot at a participating merchant for a chance to win one of four Holiday Magic prize packages.

European Film Festival 2009

Eh!U Meet the Europeans is a festival “conveying the rich and diverse culture of Europe through a selection of its finest and most recent films”.

Featuring films from 23 countries, the festival runs from November 19 to December 3, 2009 with screenings at the Bloor Cinema, The Royal, and the Varsity.

Admission is free, with seating on a first-come first-served basis.

Swarovski Crystal Wish Tree Unveiling

The unveiling of the Crystal Wish Tree, covered in 20,000 Swarovski crystals, takes place Thursday, November 19, 6pm at the Toronto Eaton Centre.

Breakfast Television’s Dina Pugliese will be hosting the event, featuring a performance by The Canadian Tenors, all in support of The Children’s Wish Foundation.
