Warm the Sole Sock Drive

The Bata Shoe Museum’s “Warm the Sole Sock Drive” runs November 13 – 30, 2011 – admission is free on Saturdays and Sundays with a donation of a pair of new, unworn socks, to benefit the Scott Mission.

Simcoe Day at Fort York

Join The Honourable David C. Onley, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, to celebrate the first Lieutenant Governor and founder of the town of York (1793) and modern day Toronto, John Graves Simcoe, at Fort York, August 1, 2011 at 1pm.

Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy tours, exhibits, musket and cannon demonstrations, Regency dance, and historic cooking demos.

Ontario Place – Through the Decades

As part of its’ 40th anniversary programming, Ontario Place hosts “Through the Decades”, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, from July 14 – August 6, 2011 when the park will come alive with the sights and sounds of the last four decades.

“Join the fun with bands belting out your retro favourites at Echo Beach, classic movies under the stars, video dance parties and more”.

Don’t forget that grounds admission to Ontario Place is free this season.

Canada’s Wonderland – Canadian Forces free admission offer

All active and retired Canadian Forces personnel with valid military ID, will receive free admission to Canada’s Wonderland on July 1st, 2nd and 3rd, 2011.   Discounted tickets for family members are also available for purchase.
