Christmas Flower Show

The City of Toronto Parks and Recreation department hosts their Annual Christmas Flower Shows at Allan Gardens and Centennial Park.

The Christmas Flower Show will operate daily from December 7 until December 30 and will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Of special note are the periods of December 15-23 and December 26-30 when the conservatory will offer extended hours until 7 p.m. so that visitors may enjoy the floral displays by candlelight.

We Will Rock You Mini-Production

If you happen to be downtown Thursday afternoon (November 27th), drop by the Toronto Life Square food court where the cast of Mirvish Productions’, We Will Rock You, will be performing an exclusive live show.

“There will be two shows, the first at noon and another at 1pm on Thursday, November 27th. Each show will be approximately 20 minutes and will give you a taste of the amazing full live show on now at the Panasonic Theatre. Come for lunch in the diverse food court and enjoy a free mini-production of We Will Rock You!”

Free Tours of HMCS Charlottetown

The Canadian Forces patrol frigate, HMCS Charlottetown will be visiting Toronto as part of its’ Great Lakes Deployment and be open to the public for tours and demonstrations this weekend, September 20th & 21st, at the foot of Yonge Street.

Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremonies Broadcast at SilverCity Richmond Hill

The SilverCity in Richmond Hill (8771 Yonge St. & Highway 7) will be showing in all 12 cinemas, a live HD broadcast of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games opening ceremonies this Friday August 8th, at 8AM (doors open at 7AM).

Admission is free (with suggested donations in support of the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts) with seating on a first-come, first-served basis to the first 3000 guests.
