Multicultural Canada Day Celebration

The Community Folk Art Council of Toronto present the 5th annual Multicultural Canada Day Celebration at Yonge Dundas Square.

Opening ceremonies begin at noon and featuring diverse arts and crafts, foods, folk dance performances, and more throughout the day. This year’s event will also feature a Bollywood Dance Party beginning at 7pm.

Canada Day at Harbourfront Centre 2011

Celebrate Canada Day, July 1, 2011 with an entire day of family entertainment and activities at Harbourfront Centre.

Featuring an attempt at a Guiness World Record of “Most Layers in a Layer Cake“, YTV W.O.W. Tour, free haircuts, strawberry cooking classes, NFB animated shorts, and more.

Music performances include Toronto All-Star Big Band, Luke Doucet & The White Falcon, and Esthero.

Red White & Vinyl Canada Day Festival

Enjoy Canada Day, July 1, 2011 at the Red White & Vinyl Festival at Woodbine Park beginning at noon.

Featuring a lineup of free performances throughout the day including Alannah Myles, Andy Kim, Brass Transit, Dan Hill, and Lighthouse. There will be a disco dance party from 9pm-10pm, then conclude the evening by taking in the fireworks from Ashbridges Bay.

Canada Day at Fort York 2011

Fort York will be celebrating Canada Day, July 1, 2011, noon-5pm, with kids’ musical favourite Chris Mckhool’s Fiddlefire, breakdancing performance and workshop, theatre, aboriginal storytelling, shadow puppetry, musket and artillery drills, fife and drum music.

There will also be a free walking tour beginning at 1pm, exploring the origin and development of Fort York and the surrounding area.
