Chinese New Year at Scarborough Town Centre

Scarborough Town Centre is celebrating Chinese New Year with traditional lion dance parades, Friday February 12, 7pm-8pm, and Saturday February 13, 1pm-2pm & 3pm-4pm.

Lucky “li si” envelopes will also be handed out (while quantities last).

Free admission for “Tigers” at Bata Shoe Museum

The Bata Shoe Museum is celebrating the Chinese New Year with a temporary exhibit featuring a  selection of rare artifacts from the collection of Glenn & Judy Roberts, along with free admission from February 9th to 28th, 2010, to those born in the Year of the Tiger.

Free Admission to Bata Shoe Museum

In celebration of Chinese New Year, the Bata Shoe Museum is offering free admission during the month of February to anyone born in the Year of the Rat! Just present ID showing your year of birth being 1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, or 1996.

Admission continues to be free for all, every Thursday evening between 5 and 8pm, and anytime for children under the age of 5.
