Canada Day at Downsview Park

Celebrate July 1st at Downsview Park which is hosting an all-day Canada Day celebration, featuring acrobatic performances by the Toronto School of Circus Arts, free amusement rides, music, buskers, petting zoo, and more. A pyro-musical fireworks display will begin at dusk.

Movies Under the Stars at Downsview Park

Downsview Park’s free outdoor movie series, Movies Under the Stars, returns this summer starting Friday July 2, 2010. Screenings begin approximately 9pm.

Earth Day 2010 at Downsview Park

Celebrate Earth Day at Downsview Park on Sunday, April 25, 2010 (11am-4pm).

The event will feature environmentally-friendly exhibits, activities and entertainment for the whole family, including science shows, buskers, face-painting, a chance to see some of Ontario’s indigenous wildlife and more.

The City of Toronto will also be on-site to collect your used household items for recycling or safe disposal.

Turkey Giveaway at Downsview Park

The first 300 families will receive a free frozen turkey and 5 lb bag of potatoes, at the 3rd annual Turkey Giveaway being held at the Downsview Park Merchants Market (2 lights east of Keele St. off Sheppard Ave.), on Sunday, October 11, 2009 beginning at noon.

The day will feature live entertainment, giveaways and an open mike Karaoke contest. The market is open year round, every weekend 10am-6pm.

Downsview Park Fall Fair

Downsview Park’s annual Fall Fair takes place Sunday October 4, 2009 from 11am to 4pm.  There will be free family-friendly activities throughout the day including lumber jack shows, pumpkin carving, scarecrow making, wagon rides, kite flying, and much more.
