The first 300 families will receive a free frozen turkey and 5 lb bag of potatoes, at the 3rd annual Turkey Giveaway being held at the Downsview Park Merchants Market (2 lights east of Keele St. off Sheppard Ave.), on Sunday, October 11, 2009 beginning at noon.
The day will feature live entertainment, giveaways and an open mike Karaoke contest. The market is open year round, every weekend 10am-6pm.

Downsview Park’s annual Fall Fair takes place Sunday October 4, 2009 from 11am to 4pm. There will be free family-friendly activities throughout the day including lumber jack shows, pumpkin carving, scarecrow making, wagon rides, kite flying, and much more.

Downsview Park’s Canada Day Celebration, Wednesday July 1, 11am to 11pm, will feature free amusement rides and games, petting zoo, buskers, historical reenactments and more. End the night with a spectacular fireworks show scheduled for 10pm.
