Sunday Serenades 2010 at Mel Lastman Square

The Sunday Serenades free concert series at Mel Lastman Square takes place each Sunday evening 7:30pm – 9pm, from July 11 to August 22, 2010.

Arrive early each week for “Dancing with John”, 6:30pm – 7:30pm, and learn how to fox-trot and jive.

Canada Day at Mel Lastman Square

Mel Lastman Square’s 2010 Canada Day festivities begin at 5pm, featuring magicians, jugglers, firebreathers and more.

The event’s theme will be to promote healthy living for kids and feature apperances by Olympians Vicky Sunohara, Kristina Groves, Charles and Francois Hamelin.

Enjoy musical performances by Digging Roots (8:05pm) and God Made Me Funky (9:15pm), leading up to a fireworks show at 10:15pm.

Hispanic Fiesta

Hispanic Fiesta, a celebration of Hispanic heritage featuring performers from around the world, takes place at Mel Lastman Square, this weekend from September 4th to 7th.

Outdoor Movie Night at Mel Lastman Square

Ward 23 City Councillor John Filion hosts an outdoor family movie night at Mel Lastman Square, Friday August 28. A free screening of Madagascar 2 will take place at the amphitheatre beginning at 8pm.
