TIFF free screening – Score: A Hockey Musical

The Toronto International Film Festival has added a free screening of Score: A Hockey Musical for tonight, September 19, 2010.    This film was the opening gala for this year’s festival, and it will play tonight, 9pm at the Ryerson Theatre.    Screening is on a first-come, first-served basis, lineup begins at 7pm.

TIFF People’s Choice Award screening

The Toronto International Film Festival will present a free screening of the winner of the Cadillac People’s Choice Award, on the evening of September 19, 2010.

Tickets will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis to those in the designated lineup two hours  before the screening.  Check the TIFF website this weekend for further details.

Free films at TIFF Bell Lightbox

The Toronto International Film Festival is celebrating its’ 35th anniversary with a series of free film screenings, featuring favourites from past festivals, at the new Bell Lightbox:

TIFF Block Party

The Toronto International Film Festival is hosting a free block party Sunday September 12, 2010 (11am-4pm) on King St. West, between John St. & Peter St., to celebrate the opening of the TIFF Bell Lightbox. Tour the new building, enjoy free food and entertainment, including musical performances from 100 Monkeys, The Sadies, Karkwa, Radio Radio, Fefe Dobson, and a surprise guest to be announced Saturday the 11th.
